Black & Blue Velvet-Flocked 1980s Full Skirt Ball Gown with Statement Bows
An absolute showstopper of an 1980s gown — dramatic, sculptural, and unapologetically glamorous.
The bodice is cut from plush black velvet, featuring long, fitted sleeves each finished with a small popper at the wrist. A simple crew neckline at the front keeps things sleek, while the back plunges into a deep V that completely transforms the silhouette (the mannequin really doesn’t do this bit justice).
The full skirt is where things get properly special: metallic blue fabric with an included underskirt for volume, flocked all over with black velvet in an abstract, almost calligraphic pattern. It catches the light beautifully and moves like a dream.
